• Notes

  (Research):After the first searches for Thomas in 1910 in London returned no positive results, I searched through the GRO BMD Index images from 1910 to end of 1912 for surname Butcher. The result of this provided one record that could be Thomas as it was the only Thomas Butcher within a London district within that 3 year period. There were other Thomas Butcher's in the London districts during that same period listed, however they all had initials that did not match Thomas'. The birth record was registered in the 1st quarter of 1911 and was in Wandsworth, which tied up with his residence when he got married. I ordered the certificate hoping the birth date would be in 1910, which it did turn out to be. In conclusion I believe the record found to be the correct Thomas Butcher.
